Mail-In Policy

Effective October 2026. These terms apply to all mail-in resurfacing, repair, engraving and custom work.

1. Request a quote first

Every job starts with a free quote request. Please don't ship anything until you've approved your quote, paid your invoice, and received our mailing instructions. That way we know your item is coming and exactly what to do with it.

2. Shipping your item to us

You're responsible for getting your item to us safely. Wrap it so it can't move in the box and include a slip of paper with your order number. We strongly recommend a tracked, insured shipping service. We aren't responsible for items lost or damaged on the way to us.

3. Inspection on arrival

When your item arrives, we'll inspect it and email you. If it's in worse condition than your photos showed, we'll let you know before doing any work and either adjust your quote or refund you, your choice.

4. If an item can't be saved

Some damage, like deep cracks, severe warping or rot, can't be repaired. If we find that after your item arrives, we'll refund the work portion of your payment and ship the item back to you. Return shipping costs are not refundable.

5. Heirlooms and one-of-a-kind items

Wood can behave unexpectedly when it's sanded or engraved, especially older, painted, glued-up or unknown materials. We take great care with every piece and will flag any risks before we start, but we can't guarantee results on these items.

6. Proof approval and engraving

For engraving jobs, we'll email you a proof of the layout and only begin once you approve it. Engraving is permanent, so please check spelling, names and dates carefully. We can't undo or refund errors in text or artwork you approved.

7. Shipping your item back

Return shipping is included in your quote. We pack every item carefully and ship it back tracked and insured. If your item arrives damaged, contact us right away with photos of the item and the packaging and we'll make it right through our shipping insurance.

8. Unclaimed items

If we can't reach you for 60 days after our last attempt to contact you about your item, we may donate or dispose of it.
